The three things to sort out early
A March 2025 beginner video by DopegeekG boils the start of the game down to three things: guns, a gang and money. Guns come from two places: turfs, where gang crates hold a wide range of weapons for free, and gun stores, which the creator called a poor early option because guns cost a lot there. Joining a gang is how you get access to a turf, so he recommends doing it as early as possible. See Gangs and Guns.
Your first cash
Two creator videos, about 17 months apart, agree on the starting pattern: do the cheap things first.
- Group rewards. Mix opens his August 2026 money video by claiming the group rewards, which paid about $12,000 and a Scorpion gun in that run.
- Store robberies. Pull a gun on a shop clerk and take the cash. In the 2025 beginner video a store gave about $2,000, and in the 2026 video small stores gave roughly $7,000 to $15,000 each. Amounts differ by shop and by update.
- Area claims. The 2025 video says claiming an area pays between about $5,000 and $10,000, and took a while to complete.
- Breaking into cars. Break the passenger window of a parked car and take the cash; the 2025 video got about $1,000.
The full list, with the numbers each creator showed, is on Money Methods. Robbery requirements and cooldowns are on Robberies.
What changed since 2025
The beginner video is from March 2025 and the game has updated many times since then. Mix says in August 2026 that recent seasons and updates added money methods and rebalanced others. Treat any specific gang, price or payout from the 2025 video as a starting point, and check it in game.
Unconfirmed
- Exact payouts for every activity. They vary per run, and creators show different numbers.
- Whether the gang names recommended in older videos are still the best beginner picks.
